Let's Scrap challenges

This is for my DT challenge this week. It's due tomorrow night if you still want to play along! The challenge is to create 3 different handmade flowers on your LO. I made a flower out of patterned paper circles, rolled flowers, and I sewed some lace together to create a flower. I have been wanting to try the rolled flowers for a long time so this was a push to actually do it!

This one was from Shelly's spring forward challenge which was to scraplift the LO that was uploaded right after your last upload. I used the same sketch, some twine on my picture and the title is similar to hers. I had made some salt dough for the kids. It obviously needed more flour but they didn't want to add more, they liked having sticky hands!

2 Layouts for 1 week

This week's sketch

My take on the sketch-Park Play-Haley at the park kinda (or not) playing! My friend Laurel took these pictures of her.
This is from last week-My Pizza makers-the kids helping me make some pizza for dinner!

Oops!! I just realized that I forgot to post my LO from last week's Let's Scrap sketch. So here's last week's and this week's sketch and LO!

Get Well Soon

Here's a card for this week's sketch up at Let's Scrap. I also combined it for this week's challenge at The Paper Variety, which was to make a get well soon card! I even pulled out a stamp for this one too!

It's about time

I did this one a couple of weeks ago called Love Snow. The sketch is from Sketch Inspiration (I actually ended up winning the prize for that week, super excited to get the Studio Calico Elementary line!!) and I used this one for Memorable Season's throwdown challenge as well. You had to use a mask (I used a large circle), either mist or paint splatters, white space, and doodling. I don't think I've ever used a mask, so this was a first for me!! Pictures are of Tyler and Haley playing in the snow in our backyard!

I used a sketch from My Mind's Eye blog and a theme "Celebrate Today". I also did this one for the Memorable Seasons throwdown challenge. The challenge was to use a solid color background, lots of RED, a diecut, and then a few other choices: circles, stitching, distressing, inking, and handwritten journaling. Pictures are of Ryan's 30th birthday. They aren't the best pictures but I still wanted to document the special day!!

I completed the color combo challenge that was posted on the Crate blog. The colors were kraft, grey, and yellow. I don't think I've ever used this color combo before but love how it turned out so I will definitely use it again! The pictures are of Tyler and his cousin sledding on our trip to Utah last year. And I used a sketch #146 from Creative Scrappers.

Well it's been quite a while since I've actually put my scrapbook layouts into their scrapbook binders. I stayed home from church today with Katie and Emily since we are all still sick and I thought this would be a great project to get done today. So I'm going to go through them and make sure I've posted them all on here. Oh, and I want to see how many LO's I've gotten done so far this year. My goal is 150. Okay, I'm up to 21 so far, better pick up the pace!!

Easter Morning

Another double page sketch is up at Let's Scrap. Here's this week's sketch and my take of it. Pictures are of Haley in '07. I loved that little bandana that went with her dress! Papers are My Minds Eye.

My Guy

I created this LO of some pics I took of Tyler while we were on a camping trip a couple of years ago (okay, 5 years ago to be exact!). I was kinda playing with the light and I love the different expressions I got from him, typical Tyler faces! I took on the challenge at The Paper Variety to use 50% green on my LO. I've got green patterned paper, a green title, green journaling, and a green ribbon. I also used a sketch from Sketchy Thursdays. Papers are Scrap Within Reach's Georgia Rain collection.

Family

There's a new double page sketch up over at Let's Scrap. Here's the sketch and my take on it. It's the kids playing over Christmas break (2009). Papers are Crate's Restoration line. I also used the left side for last week's throwdown challenge at Memorable Seasons. The challenge was to layer at least 5 patterned papers, use one picture, have a cluster of embellies and use a non-scrapbooking item (I used 2 sewing pins to attach my journaling).
